Welcome to Drawing Crazy Patterns, an archive of my web design projects, which you can view and rate. Having created websites for over ten years now, I've accumulated an extensive collection of designs. My website design has evolved significantly since I first started at the age of 14, as I've gone through many different types of techniques, tools, ideas, experiments, and sometimes failures. Along the way I learned HTML and increasingly complicated CSS, and eventually discovered MySQL and PHP. I'm no professional web designer, and I find myself learning something new every time I embark on a new project.
My first attempts at website design started with Microsoft Frontpage, many years ago. I began with the light version of the program, and later updated to the full version. At one point, fairly recently, I stopped using Frontpage and switched to Dreamweaver. While similar, the two programs have their own quirks, and Dreamweaver took a bit of getting used to. Although I've always used a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, I've never neglected the coding. I spent increasingly more time under the code editing tab as I got more knowledgeable; an editing program just does not do certain things very well, and as I found out, sometimes bloats the code unnecessarily. I am now more comfortable coding organically than designing through Dreamweaver's functions, although I still find the program helpful in general for previewing my content, spell checking, and identifying and fixing errors.
For graphics, I have always used Adobe Photoshop, and I've loved it dearly.
This website primarily features designs created for Prettysenshi.com and ZeynepGoral.com. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
