PrettySenshi.com was my collective and main page for many, many years, and it has gone through numerous changes, facelifts, and redesigns. It was originally the main page for my Sailormoon website (hence the name Pretty Senshi Sailormoon), but as I branched out to more anime/manga series and created other websites, it became the portal to my collection of both anime/manga websites, as well as my personal and non-anime related projects. Since I registered ZeynepGoral.com in summer 2009, I've moved my personal websites onto ZG.com, and PS.C has gone back to hosting my (now mostly static) anime and manga projects. |

Version 42.2 - Crazy Times
PS.C third birthday layout, featuring lyrics from the Jars of Clay song, "Crazy Times." The inspiration behind the lyrics and the picture (the cover boy is Naota from Furi Kuri) is the fact that three years seemed pretty crazy when I thought about it, and Furi Kuri is a crazy anime, so there you go. The Naota image was originally a b/w scan; I colored it in Photoshop with the airbrush and used the grain filter to add effect. This was also the first time I used a colored scrollbar. I loved working with the clashing colors; the hot pink and the bright yellow are warm, while the dark green and the black are cold and balance the others. This is one of my favorite designs.

Version 42.1 - The Space Between
I kind of regret never actually using this layout. I worked hard on editing this Ui picture and I liked the outcome of it as a whole. This layout felt peaceful and serene, and was fairly simple in terms of HTML. I didn't post it because it would've been way too slow to load if I had used JPEG image files, and because the image used so many colors, GIF looked bad. I wasn't too excited about making a separate sub-page layout either; because I spent so long on customizing the main page, I got sick and tired of the whole thing and chucked it.

Version 41.0 - Fallen Embers
This was an incredibly unsatisfactory layout; it drove me up the walls in frustration. I must have cut, resized, and rearranged everything a thousand times, and I didn't even like the final outcome. I posted it because it wasn't a complete failure (I liked the image of Belldandy from the series Oh My Goddess!), and PS.C needed a new, fresh look.

Version 40.1 - Where the Streets Have No Name
I went through two drafts before this final product. I wanted to use the deep pinkish shade of red and orange together, and when I thought of those two colors together, this image of CLAMP'S Kotori popped into my head. The lyrics are from the U2 song "Where the Streets Have No Name." The text box was a good size and easy to read. This layout also celebrated my 16th birthday... which now makes me feel really old.

Version 39.0 - The Last Rays of Paradise
Summer was almost over and school was almost starting, so I made this layout to bemoan my loss of freedom. It features Raphael and Mikael from Tenshi ni Narumon. This picture was particularly difficult to work with; the detailed green background guaranteed a slow loading time. However, the more I worked with it, the more I liked it. This layout also marked PS.C switching host providers, from Websolo to Hostrocket.

Version 38.0 - The Double 60 Billion Dollar Man
I was pretty fond of this layout. It featured Vash from Trigun, during a time in which I was on a major Vash kick. I liked the colors in this (I'm always a fan of red & black), and the text area was much more comfortable to read than in Version 37.0.

Version 37.0 - Surreal Summer
This layout stayed up for a large bulk of summer 2001, when I went to Europe. It worked well with Netscape and I used a lot of new found dingbats to add some effect. One problem was that the text and text area were fairly small; a sacrifice I sometimes had to make to try new things. With this layout the multimedia section was removed (Scanariffic was made into its own website, I removed my custom wallpapers, and the anime music I had hosted never survived on free accounts because of bandwidth issues). I also introduced my short-lived Yukino (Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou) shrine, Her Circumstances.

Version 36.0 - Surrender Your Ego
A very bright summer layout, celebrating the start of summer vacation. I was obsessed with the Queen Song "Innuendo" at the time, hence the title and the lyrics scattered throughout.

Version 35.0 - Just A Mirror for the Sun
This layout was extremely graphic-heavy. The image covered almost a whole 800x600 browser window, and it was the longest loading design I had made in a while. The colors were a bit like those in Version 34.0, but moving more towards pastels. Some days I hated this layout, some days I loved it.

Version 34.0 - Give Me Release, Give Me Peace
This layout was based on summer; it's yellow and orange, and it features lyrics from the Sarah McLachlan song "Silence" that I thought correspond to summer pretty well. "Give me release, give me peace." I think I just wanted school to be over.
